Keep Calm and Learn to be Successful

For our January AIM Spotlight, we are excited to introduce one of our newest team members – Adam Vania.

For the last eight years, Adam has been able to obtain both a strong sales and customer service background. In addition to these skills, Adam received his Bachelor of Arts Degree, in Marketing & Communications and throughout his academic career developed a keen understanding of SEO & CPC marketing. In a continuously changing industry, Adam believes it’s crucial to frequently think outside of the box, thus continually bringing fresh ideas to the table. When not working, Adam enjoys training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, reading books on behavioural psychology, and playing Donkey Kong with his two nieces.

Adam joined AIM in October as an Associate Account Manager and in three short months, has become an integral part of the team. His willingness to consistently exceed expectations has proven to be a definite asset to our clients.

We asked Adam a few questions to learn more about him and here is what he had to say:

Question: You are a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?

Adam:  Blue. Smooth, calm, collected, and always reliable.

Question: If you were a super hero (and we know you are), what would your super power be and what can we call you?

Adam: If I was a super hero I would be a fireman 🙂 My superpower is to keep calm in a crisis and help ‘put out fires’.

Question: Your favorite Inspirational Quote and Why

Adam:  “Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not the one who is fearless, but the one that conquers that fear.”

Why: In life you’re going to have challenges, but it’s up to you to be able to learn from your challenges.

Question: What could you give a 30-minute presentation about with no advance preparation?

Adam: Self correction – why one should learn to be successful

Sounds interesting! Can you tell us more?

Adam: One can clearly differentiate people into two categories – those who are actively looking to improve themselves and evolve, and people who are not willing to grow and/or change. Interaction with one’s environment forces a person to change whether they like it or not. This is because of something called neuroplasticity.

Neuroplasticity put into its simplest terms is the idea that the brain can change physiologically as a reaction to your everyday patterns.

In its essence self-correction and self-improvement are synonymous. It is a necessity to want to improve and self-correct in order to be successful in your career and in your life. The manifestations of self-correction can be evident in both the results that come from it, and the actual physiological effects it has on your mind (Neuroplasticity).

Question: Tell us about your greatest achievement in your career, so far.

Adam: Being part of the AIM team and working on a key outdoor account.

Question: What are you reading right now?

Adam: Think and Grow Rich – Napoleon Hill.

Question: What is something you want to do in the next year that you’ve never done before?

Adam: Affiliate Summit… Or Affiliate World 😉

Question: What is your biggest professional challenge?

Adam: Consistently figuring out how to improve and be more dependable as a teammate.

Question: What is your favorite thing to do when you are not working?

Adam: Spending time with my family.
