Stepping into the AIM Spotlight this month, is Ashley Klotz, our Content Marketing Expert.
Ashley brings over 14 years of customer service experience, with 5 years of social media and content marketing experience to the table. Her creative writing, strong communication skills, and attention to detail have been at the forefront of her success. A genuine care and understanding of the client/consumer are sure to be a great asset for building affiliate partnerships.
We caught up with Ashley to learn more about the girl behind the content. Here’s what she had to say:
Q: You are a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?
AK: Black. It’s modern, classic, and goes with everything.
Q: If you were a super hero (and we know you are), what would your super power be and what can we call you? (super hero name)?
AK: Gif Girl! Able to find the perfect gif faster than a speeding bullet, no matter the conversation.
Q: Your favourite Inspirational Quote
AK: “Be a voice, not an echo.” – Unknown
I think this works really well with not just content marketing, but life. Originality is key.
Q: Name one thing about your job that inspires you to keep working at AIM and gets you out of bed in the morning?
AK: The people. AIM is a great company and the camaraderie is something you don’t find with a lot of companies nowadays (especially remote companies).
Q: How or Why did you become a Content Marketing expert?
AK: To be honest it just happened. I was in customer service and the owner and Marketing Manager at the time saw something in my writing that made them offer me a content role. I love to write and jumped at the opportunity.
Q: Tell us about your greatest achievement in your career, so far.
AK: It’s actually something very new. I recently got accepted to write for a published marketing magazine that’s online and in print. This will be the first time my writing has been featured on such a global marketing platform.
What are the three key trends for Content Marketing in 2018?
1) Transparency – Customers are tired of the old school brand advertising. They want honesty from companies to decide if they truly want to take part in what they are offering on a bigger scale than just products.
2) Start to Finish Content – Having purposeful content along the customer’s entire journey will build a relationship that carries beyond the initial spark.
3) Video – Customers are getting more and more engaged with videos. Whether it’s a behind-the-scenes look, a funny addition, or review, video is making a big impact.
Q: What is your biggest professional challenge?
AK: Creativity. Everyone has an off day where your brain is fried. Staying creative constantly and keeping up with the ever-changing trends can be a struggle.
Q: What is the one piece of advice you can offer a budding Content Writer?
AK: Trust your writing. Whether it’s personal or for work, your words matter. Having that confidence will only take your writing to the next level.
We are always on the lookout for exceptional talent.
