We’re excited to properly introduce a key player in the AIM family, Brittany!
Joining AIM in 2020, Brittany’s career in the affiliate industry began on the network side, managing several brands in many verticals including travel, retail, and B2B. The experience Brittany has in both the network and agency sides of the industry brings a unique perspective to the table and furthers her passion for making connections and fostering valuable relationships.
When she’s not exploring new countries and cultures, she can be found hiking local trails with her boyfriend and their three dogs, rock climbing, or enjoying the local scene.
Read on to learn more about Brittany and what her superpower is.
Job Title: Account Manager
Expertise: Making meaningful connections and fostering valuable relationships to bring further success to clients.
Brittany: Yellow; because I try to find the light in everything and I would describe myself as an optimistic person!
Brittany: Meet Wander Woman— her superpowers are time travel and teleportation. I’m an avid traveler and have always been interested in different cultures and eras. Imagine being able to experience Ancient Greece one day and Woodstock the next, or using the powers for good and making change during some of history’s most challenging times.
Brittany: “Don’t worry, be happy.”
It’s a simple one, but I think this can translate into all aspects of life. I try to live by this mantra even during the toughest of times because I believe that through optimism you can manifest the good things in life. Really think about it— was there ever a time that worrying and having negative thoughts about a situation truly brought about positive results?
Brittany: I love the fast-paced and ever-evolving world at AIM. So many people become stuck in their routine and end up feeling very displeased over time. At AIM, there are always new and exciting changes happening, there’s no room for monotony. On top of that, the people I work with are a joy to be around— co-workers, clients, and publishers alike.
Brittany: As a consumer, I’ve always been interested in what motivates people to make purchasing decisions. I find the psychology behind marketing to be very interesting and a challenge that is fun to solve. Affiliate marketing is even more so as it creates personalized, meaningful relationships between consumers, brands, and publishers.
Brittany: Having made the transition from working predominantly in the retail/travel side of affiliate marketing, to more recently the B2B side of things was a major adjustment. It was somewhat of unfamiliar territory and there was a major learning curve. That being said, I’ve learned and grown immensely from that shift and have become a better marketer because of it.
Brittany: It can be challenging, at times, to maintain the delicate balance between empathy and analytics. While this industry is mostly based on building relationships, at the end of the day, it is also very data-driven. I try to find the best possible solution for both my clients and affiliate partners and sometimes they aren’t always the same; so, ensuring there’s a good balance between rapport and data generally helps with that.
Brittany: Don’t be afraid of pushing the limits. There are plenty of tried and true strategies out there for launching successful partnerships, but a lot of times clients, partners, and even your colleagues will be highly impressed by those outside-the-box ideas you have (even if they don’t always work out). Creative thinking can go a long way and you might surprise yourself. You could find a brand new tactic that can successfully be applied across multiple accounts, and you’ll be the one that people will want to come to for fresh, new ideas!
