Job Title: Account Manager
Expertise: Optimization, ideating campaigns, influencer insight and providing a dose of #puppylove during video chats.
Question: You are a new addition to the crayon box. What colour would you be and why?
Hailie: Black – timeless and goes with everything.
Question: If you were a super hero (and we know you are), what would your super power be and what can we call you?
Hailie: Teleportation – you can’t beat having the ability to establish/maintain relationships across all aspects of life, as well as be able to dine in a different country each night. As for a name… let’s go with “Laser Beam”.
Question: Your favorite Inspirational Quote and Why
Hailie: An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. “It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
You are everything and nothing that you strive to be, so long as you start feeding the right wolf.
Question: Name one thing about your job that inspires you to keep working at AIM and gets you out of bed in the morning?
Hailie: I love waking up and thinking about what I can ideate on for the day, how myself and my team can be more efficient, and putting plans into motion.
Question: How did you become an expert in Affiliate Marketing?
Hailie: I have only started my long hike to becoming an “expert”, but the team at AIM has set me up with all the right tools for a smooth journey, as well as continuously being a judicious and motivated support crew along the way.
Question: Tell us about your greatest achievement in your career, so far.
Hailie: I can’t pinpoint one thing; instead, it’s a culmination of continuously aiming to exceed the expectations of our clients and teammates.
Question: What are the three key Trends in Influencer Marketing in 2019 and beyond?
Hailie:
1) Video: Algorithms are ever-changing and it can be hard to keep up. Currently, video is the strongest player in the game. It will take more effort, but the ROI should speak for itself.
2) Authenticity: While influencer marketing can prove wildly successful, users aren’t logging on to be sold to. Influencers and brands alike will have to continuously improve on “selling” in a non-sales manner.
3) Long-term relationships: Speaking of authenticity, the more a follower sees an influencer mention a brand (provided the content is a quality tone), the more trust and brand recognition is gained.
Question: What is your biggest professional challenge?
Hailie: Continuously staying atop trends, forecasting clients’ needs before they occur, prioritizing and remaining efficient by re-evaluating processes.
Question: What is the one piece of advice you can offer a budding Affiliate Marketer?
Hailie: Learn a little bit about everything fast and figure out what you like, and what you’re good at. Have a great sense of humour and adaptability as things change constantly. Lastly, speak up – ask a lot of questions and offer advice or ideas.
Question: One of AIM’s core values is ‘Give Back’ and we are always amazed by how our team members truly live this value, not only at work but also in their personal lives. Can you tell us about your volunteering at Operation Enduring Warrior?
Hailie: I’ve been a volunteer (Graphic Designer-and-Photographer-turned) Creative Director for OEW since 2013. It all started at the Marine Corps Marathon in D.C.; after assisting the president of the organization during the last stretch of the run, I was given the OEW patch off his uniform and my devotion to the cause was established. Our team is 100% volunteer, and we work to provide mental and physical rehabilitation for military and law enforcement veterans via various programs created to overcome adversity through teamwork, innovation and perseverance. I highly encourage you to participate in one of our events alongside our team, our honourees, and our community ambassadors.
