Ensuring Client Satisfaction – Meet Jules Johnson-Babcock

It’s time to get to know a key player on the AIM team, Jules!

After a career change from the world of Dentistry, Jules completed a Communications Diploma and began an internship with AIM in the Fall of 2012. Since then, she’s specialized in Social Media and Affiliate Account Management and Onboarding New Client Services. Jules’ previous experience has enhanced her ability to strategize and manage in-depth affiliate programs, often global-reaching, with ease. With years of experience managing programs within the SAAS, Travel, B2B, and B2C industries, Jules loves building strong relationships with clients and affiliate partners alike.

She’s proud to be Canadian but lives in the UK and will never say no if you offer her cheese! Jules also finds cooking and disaster movies relaxing.

Read on to learn more about Jules and what A.N.T.O. is all about!

Job Title: Client Experience Manager
Expertise: Ensuring client satisfaction. Taking the stress and challenges out, each step of the way.

Question: You are a new addition to the crayon box. What colour would you be and why?

Jules: Green- It’s energizing and fresh but also somehow relaxing. My goal when working with my team, and with clients, is to build momentum on new projects, think outside of the box to find a solution to a problem, and when these things are done well, it puts everyone at ease so they can focus on other tasks at hand.

Question: If you were a superhero (and we know you are), what would your superpower be and what can we call you?

Jules: Annotation, Note Taking & Organization. You can call me ANTO.

Question: Your favourite Inspirational Quote and Why

Jules: “Pace Yourself.” This is something my mum has always said. Although most people wouldn’t describe that as an inspirational quote, it’s always in the back of my mind as something I know I should do if I want to push harder, reach higher goals, and thrive in the long run. It’s appropriate in all aspects of life- from work to the gym, to finishing that giant pizza in Rome!

Question: Name one thing about your job that inspires you to keep working at AIM and gets you out of bed in the morning?

Jules: My job keeps me on my toes! I don’t always know what my workday will bring, my schedule can change at the drop of a hat, I learn something new almost every day, and I find new challenges to overcome every week. Combining that kind of growth with an amazing team and a flexible schedule…it doesn’t get much better than that!

Question: How did you become interested in Marketing?

Jules: Marketing actually found me. I had previously been working as a Dental Assistant but needed to make a career change after a serious non-work-related injury. I went back to university to study PR and Communications and my professor mentioned her nephew (who was 14) had started a blog and was making money from it somehow. That’s when I learned what Affiliate Marketing was and began searching for an internship, and I’ve been with AIM ever since.

Question: Tell us about your greatest achievement in your career, so far.

Jules: Being part of the team that won the award for Global Excellence at the 2018 Performance Marketing Awards in London was amazing!

Question: What are the three keys in Affiliate/Performance Marketing to look out for in 2020?

Jules: 1) Attribution Methods
2) Leveraging & Tracking Content and Influencer Partnerships Differently
3) Incremental Revenue Opportunities

Question: What is your biggest professional challenge?

Jules: Creating new processes. Sometimes you don’t know which step to test first.

Question: What is the one piece of advice you can offer a budding Affiliate Marketer?

Jules: Learn how to be efficient and detail-oriented in equal measure. It will save you time in the long run and improve the overall quality of your work.
