Let us introduce our newest Publisher Development Associate, Mbeki!

Mbeki brings a high level of expertise to building relationships thanks to his interpersonal skills, combined with his ambitious mindset that has forged his way through his digital marketing career. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Communication and his past experience in sales and customer success, Mbeki has a strong understanding of business and marketing metrics to improve KPI standards with an astute eye for analytical data involving revenue.

We checked in with Mbeki to hear how this new journey is working out so far, please read on to learn more.

 

Question: What inspired you to join AIM?

Answer: What inspired me to join AIM was the culture! The culture and environment here are a complete 180 from my previous roles. Through the interview process, every person I had the pleasure of speaking with gave me a sense of compatibility. I truly felt welcoming energy that translates into excellence, as you want to feel valued where you work. 

 

Question: Which of AIM’s Core Values (Delight, Innovate, Grow, and Giveback) aligns most with your own?

Answer: The core value that aligns best with my own is “innovate”. I believe that new methods or ideas are needed for growth. Learning and growing as an aspiring entrepreneur, being able to innovate is an essential part of the journey.

 

Question: Now that you’re done with orientation, what was your first impression of AIM?

Answer: My first impression of AIM is phenomenal. From the industry, it’s in, to the management of employees, my new colleagues, and the atmosphere. Being an athlete majority of my life, I have been surrounded by team atmospheres and AIM has that element! 

 

Question: What aspect of your job excites you most? Why?

Answer: The aspect that excites me the most about my job is building partnerships. Coming from a sales/ marketing background, discovering and communicating with potential leads is an element I have been providing throughout my professional experience. I look forward to building strong relationships for our clients and our company.

 

Question: Now that you’re a little more settled, do you have a goal for the next 30 days for yourself in your new role?

Answer: The goal is to establish partnerships for the brands I am currently working with for recruitment. I plan to continue hustling and use the most of my abilities to do the best job that I can! As the industry is evolving, I want to continue to learn and grow from my colleagues who have been helping me grow through this experience.
