We’re excited to welcome our newest Associate Account Manager, Megan, to the team!

Thanks to Megan’s quick-on-her-feet thinking and ability to pivot at the right time, her journey led her into affiliate marketing and right to us. With a background in marketing and managing a large multi-purpose nightclub and music venue, as well as owning a successful craft beer and wine establishment, Megan has the experience to market across multiple channels and manage many ongoing projects within strict timelines and expectations.

Let’s dive in with Megan and hear how this new journey is working out so far.

Question: What inspired you to apply to AIM?

Answer: Exploring a career change at any age can be intimidating but also highly exhilarating. When AIM came onto my radar I did some research and was thoroughly impressed by AIM and Sarah Bundy’s reputation for excellence and innovation. After each step in the interview process, I was inspired by the quality of people that made up the AIM team and from there was truly looking forward to becoming a part of that community.

Question: Which of AIM’s Core Values (Delight, Innovate, Grow, and Giveback) aligns most with your own?

Answer: To be honest, I’m not sure. Each of the Core Values at AIM resonates with everything that I do in my day-to-day:

Delight – Whether it be a delight to meet new people, learn and grow from others, or even a delightful treat, I think that every day we are able to find delight in some aspect of what we do.

Innovate – I feel that the best innovation comes out of a necessity for efficiency, and coming from an industry that required more hours in a day than any given day had to offer, I can definitely say that seeking innovative ways to get things done was always at the forefront of my mind.

Grow – We are always growing, whether it be personally, professionally, or even as part of a team. Growth is what gets me moving each day, working toward that 1% daily improvement in order to reach the goals that I set for myself.

Giveback – Giveback is such an important part of coming full circle in the things that we do each day. My passion has always been with animals and as my Giveback, I work as a volunteer helping animals that are in need of a second shot at a life full of love and spoils.

If I was forced to pick just one, however, I would say that Giveback is the one that aligns most with my own. When working with animals, I feel at my most inspired, and that gives me the motivation to integrate all of the other Core Values.

Question: Now that you’re done with orientation, what was your first impression of AIM?

Answer: Welcoming and organized. The first day at any new job is oftentimes overwhelming and nerve-racking. Yet, I can enthusiastically say that this was never the case during my orientation. AIM’s People Success and Operations Manager, Chrissy Malukiewicz, has paved a clear path to making the onboarding process seamless and everyone on the AIM team was excited to introduce themselves and offer their support in making the transition a great experience. AIM has been a nurturing environment from the start.

Question: What aspect of your job excites you most? Why?

Answer: Being able to be a contributing member of a team that possesses the expertise to form successful partnerships and continues to build such amazing relationships with some pretty fantastic brands. After playing soccer for many years, I have become a firm believer in the team dynamic and the roles that each player has on the field. It is not about who scores the goal but about the master of play, work, and dedication that went into the thought, setup, and execution.  Being a “player” on the AIM field and scoring those winning results is what gets me fired up!

Question: Now that you’re a little more settled, do you have a goal for the next 30 days for yourself in your new role?

Answer: Learn and grow! Learning more from my team to equip me with the tools needed to contribute to the successful growth of our brands. There are so many options to be explored and mastered at AIM and my next goal would be to pick one that I would love to move from apprentice to master in.
