Please join me in getting to know one of our newer Associate Account Managers, Nate!
Bringing a passion for building relationships while creating and executing strategies, with a background in account management, Nate started working in higher education administration before venturing into startups in eCommerce and marketing. Using his experiences in business development, negotiations, and analytical strategizing, he helped grow and retain accounts; and found new and creative ways to best present brands in their markets by utilizing data with strategy.
Let’s check in with Nate and see how he’s doing in his new role at AIM.
Answer: One of my friends was working for AIM and I was looking for a new position, so I reached out to her to ask more about their open position and their culture. Through a string of text messages, she expressed how delightful it is to work for AIM. After doing my research and seeing the growth they were experiencing I wanted to jump on board. I wanted to continue a career in account management but wanted the right fit. Hearing about the accounts that worked with AIM, I saw myself wanting to be part of the team.
Answer: I align with all of the core values, but most likely Innovate and Grow are the two strongest. In affiliate marketing, things can change from morning to sunrise so we need to think on our toes as a team. Being able to innovate new ways to get tasks done, collaborate and strategize a plan, or just how we manage an account and bring new ideas to the table means that our growth is endless. I also like that I am challenged to grow by my manager and team. Instead of settling, I am always pushed out of my comfort zone to reach new heights and continue to grow.
Answer: I was really impressed with how well-organized AIM was with their goals and objectives offering an easy breakdown and addressing them to the team nicely. I knew how my role fit into the overall goals and knew the direction that leadership was taking the company. I also was surprised with how open everyone was. Seeing the relationship between everyone and how they all communicated and related with each other, even in a remote atmosphere made it feel like we were in an office. It is definitely finding the right fit to work in a remote atmosphere and seeing how well we all got along was a breath of fresh air.
Answer: My favorite thing about my job is strategizing for the accounts that I am on. Looking at what success is and thinking of the steps we need to take to get there gets me excited. It also means trying new things, thinking outside the box, reviewing old ideas, and how we can improve on what worked and didn’t work. Using data to finish diving into the strategy really gets me pumped when working with clients.
Answer: Some personal goals that I have are to onboard more quality publishers to my programs that help drive revenue and exposure. Especially now that I am into my second quarter with my accounts and really understanding their goals, objectives, and their marketing plans. Also, understanding the industries that my accounts are in helps to understand market trends and publisher insights to create successful campaigns and strategies.
