After such a successful turnout with fantastic feedback from last year’s event, PartnerStack decided to come back with something a little different — STACK’D Connect.
With partner ecosystems still on the rise (and only growing), PartnerStack decided to give their STACK’D event a little twist. This year, they hit the road as the only traveling roadshow focused on the convergence of technology and ecosystem people. Their first stop? New York!

As a leading agency in B2B affiliate, our team of experts have been working closely with PartnerStack to grow and scale our B2B client programs. After all, PartnerStack is a key player in B2B affiliate and we were excited to be a part of this conference again and expand our B2B knowledge.
Here are some of our key takeaways from STACK’D Connect.
We took a little walk down memory lane with a glimpse of how marketing looked back in 2007 and why Partnerships weren’t getting a seat at the table. Luckily, things are getting back on track and we’re seeing a huge rise in the need and want for partnerships.
Learning from the past, we took a dive into the marketing parallels with partnerships. For example, in partnerships, we shouldn’t be afraid to “talk the revenue”. Marketers do it all the time—they know how to scale and where money goes. Partnership teams need to push just as much as marketing teams with data to back it up.
There were numerous discussions around recruiting, onboarding, and activating partners. As a reminder, it’s a long process, especially with B2B, as the ecosystem and funnel look a lot different than B2C. For success, you must focus on taking the time to do it right and be intentional at each stage.
In an era of automation, it’s crucial to establish manual systems and processes before attempting automation. Why? Personalization still reigns supreme when it comes to building relationships. PartnerStack builds relationships this way and cultivates an ecosystem of partners that drive incremental value to vendors.
I had the privilege of attending the STACK’D Connect roadshow event in New York. As I strive to expand my expertise in the ever-evolving B2B Partnership marketing. Throughout the event, I had the pleasure of networking and engaging with some of the brightest thought leaders in the industry.
Of course, we can’t end this recap without a big shoutout to our own Jason Lilien who was listed above in the speaker lineup. Along with other bright minds, Jason was a part of the Partner Panel to discuss some of the industry’s hottest topics. Check it out!
